Aretha Franklin T-Shirts
I loved her music as a teenager and I love it still today. I remember "Respect" blaring from a radio when I was young activist staying in the shanty town called Resurrection City during the Poor People's Campaign in Washington DC in 1968 and the exhilaration it generated in me and the other protesters. Like Rev. Al Sharpton just said on MSNBC, she was "the sound tract of the freedom struggle" for the last 50 years! May she rest in peace.
